CDSA is a nonprofit voluntary organization
dedicated to providing a positive and safe instructional sports
environment for the youth of the community of Dekalb County. Our
Association serves the community and continues to grow in
membership every year. Because of our tremendous size and
growth, we’ve created this web site to help provide you with
information we feel is important in order to make your baseball
season happy and rewarding. Our Site is designed to handle all
of our communication needs on-line, so please visit with us
every day. Please review the instructional page, so you will be
able to take full advantage of our web site.
CDSA, as with all of the associations in
Dekalb County, is allowed to operate under the general guidance
of the Dekalb County Parks and Recreation Division, and we must
abide by the rules and policies set forth by Parks and
Recreation.
Our Association consists of community
volunteers for its operation. It’s important to remember that
each and every Board member, Committee member, League
Commissioner and Coach is volunteering their own time and effort
to provide the best program possible without any form of
remuneration. We encourage you to consider what you might be
able to do to help us out. Many different talents and skills are
needed to operate an association of our size and you may have a
particular skill that we need.
You can tell us how we’re doing or send us
information by clicking
here to email us. If you have a question about a particular
committee, please
click here to go to the Board page and send it directly to
the Committee Chair. Check back often.
CDSA CODE OF CONDUCT
It is the policy of CDSA to promote the
development of strong character, a right attitude and a sense of
responsibility and citizenship in youngsters. It is the purpose
of CDSA to achieve this goal through fair play and good
sportsmanship with adult leaders providing the example. It is
strictly against the policy of CDSA for any person, either as a
participant, coach or spectator to engage in arguments, to use
abusive language, to harass or make any threatening gestures
towards umpires, coaches, players or league officials or to
exhibit any behavior not in concert with the general intention
of this policy statement. Failure to abide by this policy will
result in removal from the park. Any further incidents may
result in permanent suspension from Wade Walker Park. Any player
caught fighting or found consuming any controlled substance will
be suspended from league play for an amount of time to be
determined by the Player Agent and the respective League
Commissioner.
